I am on a 1 week filming expedition at Pine Lake, and these are a few sample aerial photos that I took with my plane. Today is the first day of filming and there will be a lot more where this came from.

Curly Willow

The curly willow in this vase at David and Stacy's home was grown at Pine Lake!    Stacy did the arranging.  Looks like a picture from Southern Living magazine.

New Golf Practice Range

For golfers who visit Pine Lake we have created a new practice range for shots up to about 140 yards.  For clubs with longer distances we have installed a golf driving net so that we won't lose so many balls.  We don't have anything smooth enough to putt on yet, but maybe eventually that could happen.

Buddy's New House

I think Buddy is enjoying his new home which Tom made last week.  It looks very comfortable and has windows on three sides.  Don't know if he will be able to sit on top of it like Snoopy does.  But Buddy might try, he is one very active dog.
See what did I tell you?

Tom's Garden

The garden is looking pretty good now after about 3 plantings due to problems with various wildlife.  Hopefully Tom, us and the deer will have plenty to eat from the garden.

Duck box down

The duck box on the lake fell recently after about a dozen years of providing a place for the wood ducks to hatch.  There were eight eggs - four were unbroken and four apparently had already hatched.  This provides us an opportunity for a new project to add to our list.

Work Weekend- Feb 17-19

We had a very successful work weekend last weekend!
We worked hard, laughed a lot, and ate wonderful meals prepared by Monnie!
The guys task of the weekend was to continue clearing off the hillside, grind stumps, pick up large rocks and stump debris, and take the trees and limbs to the burn pile.  The ladies job was to clear the yard of pine cones and limbs and take them to the burn pile.
Luckily we got a lot done before the rain!
Anna and Robyn picked up pine cones and sticks.

Brittany (and Peyton) helped pick up pine cones.

Keri Lynn worked hard to fill the wheelbarrow.

Amy used the pine cone grabber to clear the yard.

The guys worked hard to clear the hill.

Ross and Ronnie took turns with the stump grinder.
Jake clearing the hill of rocks and limbs.
Kerry cleared the hillside of excess trees.

The weekend was also full of doggy love!
Sweet Hunter getting lots of affection!

Bella, Toby, and Brownie really wanted to come out and play!

Coco was excited to be at Pine Lake!

The newest addition to Pine Lake...Buddy! Full of energy and ready to play!

And me, loving on sweet Coco!
